Sledgehammers are a great core conditioning tool. They require the body to fire muscles in sequences to move along trajectories that need to be controlled requiring whole body stabilisation. We use Sledgehammers a lot. They are also a tool that can be found on holidays to maintain some strength. hey some trainees told me that.

Great for use group outdoor training-with recycled tyres.

15 kg 33 lb Sledgehammer from kettlebells.com.au
My other sledges a 5 and 9 kg are from hardware stores so capable of real use.
The 15 kg is a training tool for hitting tyres not smashing brick or concrete.
It has a welded steel handle of a very good length, the “working” sledges handles are shorter not allowing for as good range of movement in the shoulder action.
20reps x 4 sets is a great workout and will get rid of the aggression you feel for tyres.
I know i love to beat the snot out of a tyre that I have dragged or flipped.
Smashing that bast**rd tyre today was satisfying after the tyres beat me up!
