Adapt and survive is a continually evolving strength and conditioning defensive training program.

We do this using a systematized program with progressive overloads. This is accepted sport science and even in group settings all trainees strength, coordination skill and confidence have soared. It begins with a multi directional approach to sport preparedness. this is a system of training pioneered in the former Soviet union. It is designed to be used by anyone, whatever their backgrounds. It was originally used for adolescents before beginning serious training for athletes in the pre pre season and by people returning to exercise.
The goals are:
1: to stabilise the joints of the body to undertake serious training. Then to commence the training. The training increases lean body mass/muscle=teaches the larger muscles to fire explosively. This is then ready to be combined into a complex form of circuit training. introduce the trainee to the athletic self, who may have been absent for a time.
2: to teach individuals to confront all threats confidently(Using scientific based training and desensitization to extreme stressors).
we teach a combination of skills that go from pre-contact cues, defuse the situation, and if needed to interrupt an attackers thought process, significantly. weapons are also covered improvised and others.
3: to continue the process until the individual is confident in their strength and abilities(between one and two years all should be at a near peak ability).
What can a trainee at Adapt and Survive expect to achieve;
Within 12 weeks, joints will be strengthened.
Muscles will be taught to fire in sequences. Training with Adapt and Survive relies heavily on muscles firing in sequence from the ground up. this is key in all human movement and the opposite of bodybuilding programs. Body builders undertaking this program are advised to bring electrolyte/carbohydrate rich supplements and plenty of fluid.
Defensive tactics, trainees will know combinations in Thai boxing technique, angles and strips in Arnis and the basics of Krav Maga.
The training at Adapt and Survive is able to assist people playing sports; assists in running faster, jumping higher and in opening and closing distances. Some of the sports this program have aided are; golf, tennis, MMA, netball, basketball, it is recommended by the former snow sports Australia president Jayson Onley for pre-season training and will ensure full use of first day lift passes. this is to mention a few. Even endurance athletes have benefited from stronger joints and tendons reducing injury risks and kicking for the finish line.
